About Us

Equipment Incorporated was founded in 1951 by Joe J. Schmelzer Jr. in Jackson, Mississippi. The primary focus was the sales and support of construction equipment. Since that time, the company has grown and added additional locations and equipment lines. Today the company is run by Joe Schmelzer III.

Currently, the company represents innovative industry-leading manufacturers for construction, material handling and plant maintenance equipment. Support services are available on all major equipment lines. Engineering consulting services are also available. 

Equipment Incorporated now has four locations in Jackson, Tupelo, Mobile and Hattiesburg. The company will continue to add equipment and support services to meet the ever changing needs of customers.
